ESRI recommends €10 per tonne carbon tax

The Economic and Social Research Institute is recommending the introduction of a low carbon tax to help Ireland meet its short-term emissions targets.

The think tank is proposing the initial introduction of a €10 tax per tonne of carbon, which it says would probably rise to €20 in the coming years.
