A man has been arrested in connection with an armed raid in Dublin city centre yesterday afternoon.

At around midday yesterday, two workers in the cash office of a car park on Mercer Street were tied up and assaulted by two armed men.

The raiders escaped in a Northern-registered black saloon car, with an estimated €60,000.

Gardaí arrested a 28-year-old man in the city centre early this morning. He was taken in for questioning at Harcourt Terrace garda station.
