Weather hampers search for man in Kerry

Searches for a man missing off the Kerry coast will not be carried out today due to poor conditions.

The Valentia Coastguard said it will not be sending out any vessels this afternoon as a result of the unfavourable weather.

However, the Coastguard helicopter is expected to survey the area for a short time later and a boat will be sent out tomorrow evening.

The man in his 20s was last seen on Wednesday and his car was found abandoned near Slea Head in Dingle on Friday.
