Man due in court after €500,000 heroin seizure

A man is due in court in Blanchardstown today in connection with two separate drug seizures in north Dublin earlier this week.

The 22-year-old was one of four people arrested after more than €500,000 worth of heroin was seized on Wednesday.

An estimated €250,000 worth of the drug was found on St Margaret's Road in Finglas, while a further €280,000 was discovered during a follow-up search at an apartment in Santry.

The other three men, all aged in their mid-20s, have been released from garda custody pending instructions from the DPP.
