Cabinet to discuss Bord Snip proposals
The recommendations of An Bord Snip Nua are expected to be high on the agenda when the Cabinet holds its regular weekly meeting in Dublin this morning.
The report has proposed €5.3bn worth of public spending cuts, many of which are already attracting criticism from various lobby groups.
The Government has been insisting that they are just proposals which will be examined in detail over the coming months before decisions are made on what cuts to make in December's Budget.
A publicity campaign ahead of the forthcoming re-run of the Lisbon Treaty referendum is also expected to be discussed by ministers today.
