Pensioners' Belfast home attacked by sectarian youths

Two elderly Catholic siblings living in a Protestant interface area in Belfast have been enduring a campaign of attacks over the past week from stone-throwing nationalist youths.

Seventy-year-old Mary Hanna and her 80-year-old brother George live on Workman Avenue, a Protestant area off the Springfield Road.

Their house has been attacked three times in the last eight days by nationalist youths targeting their Protestant neighbours.

Windows have been smashed and the pensioners' car has been damaged.

Ms Hanna says she feared she and her brother could have been killed in the attack last night.
