Local councils: Snip proposals would destroy local government

Local councils are the latest group to criticise the recommendations of An Bord Snip Nua.

The Association of Municipal Authorities of Ireland has claimed the report's proposal to reduce the number of local councils from 114 to 22 will effectively destroy the local government system.
