Members of the Polish community have travelled from Kenmare to assist searchers looking for a Polish boy missing off the West Cork coast.

The fifth day of a massive search operation is underway, with navy divers, the Castletownbere coastguard and Derrynane Inshore Rescue all involved.

Thirteen-year-old Matthias Latek was fishing with his father at Cod's Head last Sunday, when they disappeared.

The body of Piotr Latek was pulled from the water on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old had been working in Kenmare for the past two years, and his teenage son was on holidays when the tragedy happened.
