Public sector union threatens strike action

Ireland’s largest public service union today threatened painful strike action over expected pay cuts and lay-offs in one of the biggest cutback plans in the history of the State.

Impact pre-empted the publication of the so-called An Bord Snip Nua report with a warning that public workers will not be scapegoated for the gaping hole in the State’s finances.
