Man dies in Louth crash

A 29-year-old man died in a single-vehicle road crash in Co Louth in the early hours of this morning.

A 29-year-old man died in a single-vehicle road crash in Co Louth in the early hours of this morning.

The accident happened at Drumcar in Dunleer at around 1am.

The dead man was the driver of the car, while a passenger was taken to hospital in Drogheda with minor injuries.

The road between Cloghan Bridge and Drumcar road is closed this morning for forensic examination.

Meanwhile, three Latvians have been hospitalised following a crash in the Rush area of Co Dublin just after 3.30am this morning.

The two men and a woman had to be cut from their car after it crashed into a house.
