Post mortem due on body of woman in Dublin

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today on the body of a woman who was found unconscious at a house in Dublin on Friday.

The 48-year-old was discovered in the house on James' Street shortly before 10pm on Friday and rushed to St James' Hospital, where she died last night.

She is believed to have suffered head injuries.

A man who was arrested in connection with the incident on Friday remains under garda surveillance in hospital after falling ill while in custody.
