One of the three young Irish doctors killed in last month's Air France disaster is due to be laid to rest in Dublin this afternoon.

Jane Deasy, from Rathmines, was on board the fatal flight with two of her friends when it crashed into the Atlantic on June 1, killing all 288 passengers and crew.

The bodies of Aisling Butler, from Roscrea, and Eithne Walls, from Ballygowan, Co Down, have not been recovered.

Dr Deasy's remains were among around 50 bodies recovered from the water in the weeks following the tragedy and were formally identified on July 1.

Her funeral mass takes place at the Church of the Holy Name in Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh, at 1pm, with a private burial afterwards.
