Search continues for missing nursing home patient

A search is continuing in Co Cork for a man who went missing from a nursing home in Bantry earlier this week.

Forty-one-year-old Brendan McCarthy was last seen at 8.30pm on Monday near Dromleigh.

He is described as 5' 10" in height, of medium build, with short receding dark hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a dark grey jumper and dark jeans.

Mr McCarthy has a prosthetic left arm and also has stitches in a wound over his right eye.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact gardaí in Bantry.
