Gardaí appeal for information about Dublin assault

Gardaí are appealing for information from the public about an assault in Dublin city centre over the weekend.

One man received serious facial injuries in the attack, which happened at the Central Bank plaza on College Green just after 5am yesterday morning.

Gardaí say they are anxious to speak to a taxi driver who was at the scene.

Meanwhile, police in the North have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a serious assault in west Belfast over the weekend.

A 23-year-old man suffered injuries to his face and head when he was attacked at Moyard Parade yesterday morning.
