Poll: Half of drivers broke speed limit last month

Almost half of all drivers have admitted breaking the speed limit in the last month, it emerged today.

Noel Brett, of the Road Safety Authority, said drivers must realise their foot is on the accelerator and that excess speed is the single biggest contributory factor to deaths and serious injuries on Irish roads.
