Police in the North have arrested two more men today in connection with the murder of Kevin McDaid in Co Derry last month.

Police in the North have arrested two more men today in connection with the murder of Kevin McDaid in Co Derry last month.

The pair, aged 28 and 30, were detained in Coleraine this morning.

Mr McDaid, a 49-year-old Catholic community worker, was beaten to death by a loyalist mob in the town on May 24.

The two men arrested this morning are also being questioned about the attempted murder of Damien Fleming during the same attack.
