A man with addresses in Westmeath and Galway who stole money from an acquaintance at various banks has been remanded for sentence in October.

Jonathan O’Neill (aged 25), of Old Willow Park, Athlone, and Mary Street, Galway, was remanded on continuing bail by Judge Katherine Delahunt at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court

O’Neill pleaded guilty to six counts of stealing sums of money, between €200 and €600, from a man known to him at banks in Dublin on dates between December 7, 2007 and May 2, 2008.

Evidence will be heard at the October hearing.
