Man seriously ill after assault at house in Belfast
A 35-year-old man was seriously ill in hospital today after being attacked and beaten in north Belfast.
He suffered head and facial injuries in a late night attack at a house in Kinnaird Close.
It is believed he was attacked by two men and a woman shortly before 11.30pm, said a police spokesman.
Enquiries were continuing to try to establish a motive for the assault.
Detectives appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time of the assault, or who had any information about it, to contact them.
The attack was not in any way related to the race hate crimes being suffered by Romanian immigrants in south Belfast, said a spokesman.
