Man arrested in connection with Gunn murder

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the murder of Peter Gunn in the city earlier this year.

The man was detained this morning and is being questioned at Finglas garda station.

Mr Gunn, a 29-year-old father-of-two, was found dead on Dunsoghly Lane in The Ward on January 15, a full 11 days after he had been reported missing.

He had been stabbed in the chest and back.

Gardaí believe he may have been murdered elsewhere before his body was dumped in The Ward.

A number of people have been arrested in connection with the killing, but no charges have been brought.
