Search continues for Irishman missing in Australia

A search is continuing in Australia today for a 30-year-old Irishman who went missing on Friday night in the coastal town of Byron Bay.

A search is continuing in Australia today for a 30-year-old Irishman who went missing on Friday night in the coastal town of Byron Bay.

The man was last seen by his girlfriend as he left their youth hostel to go for a walk.

Some of his belongings were subsequently found on a bench near a lighthouse.

Searches of the headland and surrounding waterways took place over the weekend and are expected to continue today.

The man's family is also expected to travel to the area in the coming days.
