School pupils grow fruit and vegetables

The farm information group Agri Aware says it intends to operate its 'incredible edibles' scheme again next year.

More than 100,000 primary school pupils took part this year in the scheme which saw them growing their own fruit and vegetables in the classroom.

They also had to document their progress.

AgriAware chairperson Mairead Lavery said that much of the project's success is due to the support of the teachers, agencies, and seed suppliers.
