Dublin councillor resigns from SF

Dublin City Councillor Christy Burke has resigned from Sinn Féin.

The party has issued a statement today saying it is disappointed by the move and accusing Mr Burke of going against a commitment he made to Sinn Féin when he was endorsed as a candidate for the local elections.
