FF lose seats in Cork
A recount of votes in the Cork North Central Constituency is continuing this morning.
The recount was called around 3am, so it will be much later today before the last five seats on the City Council are filled.
Overall it's not a positive picture for Fianna Fáil with the party suffering huge losses at the hands of the Opposition.
In the county, the shock losses are Mark O'Keeffe, the son of Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe, who lost out along with Maurice Ahern, the brother of Cork East TD Michael Ahern.
And in the city two former Lord Mayors also suffered defeats.
