Fitzpatrick takes first FF seat

Mary Fitzpatrick is celebrating a first-count victory in Cabra/Glasnevin this evening, becoming the first Fianna Fáil candidate in the country to be returned.

Five of a total of 52 seats on Dublin City Council have now been filled, with Labour leading the way on three, leaving Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael with one each.
