Quarter of NI nursing home patients carrying MRSA

A study in the North has found that 24% of all nursing-home patients are carrying the antibiotic-resistant MRSA superbug.

The research by Queens University in Belfast was commissioned following an increase in the number of people being referred from nursing homes to hospitals with MRSA infections.
