Police release man held in connection with Kevin McDaid murder
Police in the North have released a 41-year-old man they were questioning in connection with the murder of Kevin McDaid in Co Derry 10 days ago.
The man was detained yesterday, but was released on bail last night pending further inquiries.
Mr McDaid, a 49-year-old community worker, was beaten to death by a loyalist mob in Coleraine following Rangers' victory against Celtic in the Scottish league title race.
He was laid to rest close to his home on Monday.
A total of nine men have appeared in court in connection with the attack, six of them charged with the murder of Mr McDaid.
