Killarney nurses to stage one-hour stoppage

Nurses at Killarney Community Hospital in Co Kerry are due to stage a one-hour work stoppage this afternoon.

The Irish Nurses Organisation says it is taking the action in protest at proposed changes to management structures being introduced by the HSE.

It says the changes, which include abolishing the director of nursing position, will lead to a downgrading of services and the status of the hospital.
