Most miscarriage sufferers not offered follow-up support
A maternity services lobby group says the majority of women who miscarry in Ireland are not offered follow-up support.
The Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services in Ireland says an average of 50 miscarriages occur in Ireland every day.
However, it says two-thirds of women who miscarry are not offered follow-up support, while only one-in-three are offered early scans, tests or counselling during subsequent pregnancies.
