Poverty levels still high in inner-city Dublin
Inner-city Dublin continues to suffer large-scale, acute poverty, despite the economic progress made over the past 15 years, according to a report published today.
The study was commissioned by the Dublin Inner City Partnership.
It found that 30% of the inner-city population lives in areas described as very disadvantaged or extremely disadvantaged.
DICP hopes the findings will serve as a guide for local and central government when it comes to the allocation of resources.
