Rape Crisis Centre reports increased call volumes since abuse report

Dublin's Rape Crisis Centre says there has been an increase in the amount of people contacting its services since the Commission's Child Abuse report came out earlier this week.

Dublin's Rape Crisis Centre says there has been an increase in the amount of people contacting its services since the Commission's Child Abuse report came out earlier this week.

It says there were 73 calls to its national helpline within two hours of a documentary being aired on the subject last night.

The organisation says most were first-time callers, speaking about their abuse experiences for the first time.
