Victim calls for child abuse inquiry in North

A victim of child abuse at a Belfast-based Catholic institution is calling for a full inquiry in the North along the same lines as the Commission on Child Abuse in the Republic.

Frances Reilly - who wrote the book 'Suffer the Little Children' - is making the call following the publication of the commission's final report earlier this week.

The report revealed the massive scale of the abuse perpetrated against children in state institutions run by religious orders.

Ms Reilly was abused from the age of six at the Nazareth House institution, which was run by nuns.
