Cowen talks up Irish economy at FF gathering

The Taoiseach has told Fianna Fáil supporters in Co. Meath that Ireland is ready to take advantage of a possible upturn in the global economy next year.

Speaking at a rally in Slane last night, Brian Cowen claimed the policies being implemented by his Government to address the downturn were being hailed around the world.
