Man arrested in connection with Wicklow drug seizure

A man has been arrested following the seizure of almost €500,000 worth of drugs in Co Wicklow.

Officers from the Drugs Unit, helped by detectives from Bray and the Garda Task Force searched an open area in Co Wicklow at about 7.30pm yesterday evening.

Cocaine and ecstasy worth an estimated €450,000 was recovered.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being questioned at Bray garda station under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act.

He can be held for up to seven days.
