Labour hold commemoration for James Connolly

The Labour Party is holding a commemoration for James Connolly this afternoon.

Connolly co-founded the Labour Party with James Larkin in 1912.

Following his participation in the Easter Rising, he was executed in Kilmainham Jail in 1916 and is buried at Arbour Hill.

Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore said we should remember his ideals for a more equal Ireland which are still relevant today.
