DHL seeking 320 redundancies from Irish operations
DHL Express is seeking 320 redundancies, or about half its Irish workforce, across its network to take effect from August of this year.
The company is in the process of closing seven regional depots and restructuring their facilities in Dublin, Limerick and Cork.
DHL seeking the redundancies in order to cut back on domestic Irish services to focus on their core business of international deliveries.
Management and unions are due to meet at some stage in the coming days to begin discussions on redundancy terms.
