Tesco strike suspended as LRC talks continue
The Mandate Trade Union in Cork said today that they will continue to suspend industrial action in Douglas at the request of the Labour Relations Commission (LRC).
The union claim that the company has agreed to the request from the LRC that the status quo will remain in the Tesco store until the third-party process is completed.
The company and the union will now attend the next phase of the LRC meetings in Cork next Thursday, April 7.
The Tesco workers will transfer over to the new Douglas store on the same terms and conditions as they are currently on now. They will also maintain their current hours and patterns of work.
