Unions and management to discuss C&D job cuts

Unions and management at the C&D Foods plant in Co Roscommon are meeting today to discuss the future of more than 50 jobs at the plant.

The pet food company says it may have to lay off 53 workers at the Edgeworthstown facility due to wage and infrastructure costs, as well as the ongoing weakness of sterling.
