Govt to face Dáil fire regarding cut in social welfare
The Government is set to come under fire in the Dáil today due to its decision to scrap the Christmas bonus for social welfare recipients.
The Labour Party is introducing a motion to seeking to reverse the decision.
Anti-poverty campaigners has sharply criticised the move, saying it effectively amounts to a 2% cut in social welfare payments for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
