Simulated flood evacuation to take place in North Dublin

A full-scale flood evacuation is being simulated in north Co. Dublin today.

Emergency services, including fire and rescue crews, are carrying out the exercise at Broadmeadow Estuary near Swords.

The coast guard and civil defence are involved in the mock rescue of a large number of people, with an emergency centre set up in Portmarnock to accommodate the evacuees.
