Teenager held following shotgun seizure

A teenager is being held by gardaí in Dublin after they seized a single barrel sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of ammunition.

The seizure was made in the early hours of yesterday morning when gardaí stopped two men during a routine patrol in the Deansrath area of Clondalkin.

The men, who are in their mid- and late teens, were arrested and taken to Clondalkin and Ballyfermot Garda Stations.

One of them was charged and released on bail yesterday, while the other remains in custody at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
