Poison blow to bird project
Efforts to bring majestic birds of prey back to Irish skies have been dealt a massive blow after eagles and kites were killed in a spate of poisonings, it emerged tonight.
Lethal weed killer strong enough to kill a man was blamed for the death of a golden eagle in Donegal in February while several others have gone missing since the re-introduction scheme began in 2001.
