Union to reveal result of Dublin Bus ballot
The National Bus and Railworkers Union (NBRU) is set to announce today whether its members support the Labour Court's recommendations on cost-cutting plans at Dublin Bus.
SIPTU drivers have already voted to accept the recommendations after receiving clarification on a number of issues from the court.
Dublin Bus wants to remove 120 buses from its fleet and lay off 160 drivers as part of a plan to avoid a potential €30m loss this year.
The NBRU and SIPTU were planning strike action to protest against the cuts, but called off the action after the Labour Court's intervention.
