Dublin Bus drivers to vote on Labour Court document

SIPTU members at Dublin Bus are due to be balloted today on a new document from the Labour Court aiming to resolve the dispute over the company's cost-cutting plan.

The document was issued on Tuesday in a bid to clarify a number of issues.

Dublin Bus drivers have already voted to reject the Labour Court's recommendations to resolve the row.

The company wants to remove 120 buses from its fleet and lay off 160 drivers, saying the measures are necessary to avoid losses of more than €30m this year.
