B&B bookings up despite falling tourist numbers

B&Bs have experienced a boost in business during the recession, according to figures out today.

The Town and Country Homes Association says B&B bookings are up more than 20% so far this year, despite an overall drop in the number of tourists visiting Ireland.

B&Bs had taken a hit over the past few years, with many people opting for hotel deals instead.
