PSNI appeal for witnesses to stabbing

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in Belfast today.

The man, aged in his 20s, sustained a number of stab wounds after being assaulted in a flat in the south of the city at lunch time.

The attack is understood to have taken place around 12.15pm within the Park Royal apartment complex at Balmoral.

After the incident the injured man made his way onto Lisburn Road, near the King’s Hall.

Police seeking witnesses would like to speak to a taxi driver who stopped to help the man, and would also like to speak to anyone who saw the man on Lisburn Road.
