Coast Guard rescue man trapped on cliff

A man in his 20s who became trapped on the cliffs at Deer Park Hotel in Howth, Co Dublin was rescued tonight.

A man in his 20s who became trapped on the cliffs at Deer Park Hotel in Howth, Co Dublin was rescued tonight.

Howth Coast Guard were tasked this evening at 7.15pm by Dublin Fire Brigade to assist in the rescue of the man.

A Coast Guard Cliff Rescue Team was paged by Dublin Coast Guard and twenty volunteer members of the Howth unit responded to the scene.

While at the scene, they set up to send a rescue climber down the cliff, and the stricken man was talked to safety.

Howth gardaí were also in attendance. The trapped man did not require any further medical treatment from Dublin Fire Brigade Paramedics.
