Cross-border bargain hunters boosting tourist trade

The North is bucking the economic trend because of bargain-hunting visitors from the Republic, the Tourist Board said today.

With cheaper groceries and new cars drawing the crowds tourism chiefs believed the province was well-placed to capitalise on the weak sterling.
