Thousands of people are expected to attend a protest in Ennis, Co. Clare over the centralisation of Accident and Emergency services in the Mid-West.

The HSE's teamwork plan will see the closure of the accident and emergency departments at Ennis and Nenagh Hospitals from Monday week while all night-time casualties will be sent to Limerick.

Campaigners from Tipperary are expected to attend today's rally which has been organised by the Ennis General Hospital Development Committee.
