A 25-year-old Tralee man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the manslaughter of a homeless father-of-four by stamping on his head with his full body weight.

Brendan O'Connor of Molanee House, Monnavalley, pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to killing fellow Kerry man Edward Joseph Clancy (aged 50) on August 15, 2006 on Bridge Street, Tralee.
