A murder enquiry is underway in Dublin, after a man was found shot dead at his home on Friday.
41-year-old Liam Murray was discovered in an upstairs room of his home at Rockbrook Cottages in Rathfarnham.
A post mortem examination carried out on the body of Liam Murray showed he had died from gunshot wounds.
His body was discovered in his house at Rockbrook Cottages in Rathfarnham on Friday morning when a friend called to the house after family members became concerned as they had not seen him for some time.
Gardaí have said 42-year-old Liam Murray was seen socialising at a bar on the junction between the South Circular Road and Clanbrassil Street up to 6 o'clock in the evening of St Patrick's Day.
He was later seen in the Terenure area of south Dublin.
Gardaí have issued an appeal to anyone who may have seen him on or since St Patrick's Day or who may have been in the vicinity of Rockbrook Cottages in the days leading up to and after March 17 to contact them.
